Awkwafina

Awkwafina is an American actor and musician who started her career through clever raps that tackled the issues of sexuality and race with a the most comical of perspectives. She then expanded into Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. Her birthplace was Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants as well as Koreans. Apart from classical music and jazz, she started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. Following a focus on education, she graduated with a degree in journalism in college and a women's studies major. The focus changed to music only after she completed her degree. After gaining viral fame on the Internet the track My Vag was a reaction to the Mickey Avalon song My Dick. It eventually made its way onto her debut album Yellow Ranger. Some other hits that went viral included queef track and the eye-catching NYC Bitche$ hometown tour. The latter song was linked directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC a travel guide published in 2015. Alongside having published a book, her other career was as a singer. Alongside early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she was also featured in movies such as Neighbors 2, Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered many notable roles that were a breakthrough, like Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP, In Fina We Trust in June of the year.
